In order to reserve my apartment, you need to request for a stay through my e-form. Once I confirm availability and price is agreed I will send you a booking contract, to be returned either by email or by fax. This contract includes details such as dates, rates, number of people, exact address of the apartment. A brief summary of what is said on the contract can be read below:
RATES:
As mentioned on the homepage, the tariffs are inclusive of all expenses such as gas, electricity, telephone, cleaning, except for monthly stays. There are no other overheads to pay but the fixed price stated below.
€110.00 per night (minimum 3 nights stay)
€395.00 per week (February 2008)
€495.00 per week (March 2008)
€595.00 per week (April to July 2008)
€1,550.00 per month ( Bills and apartment servicing not included)
Convert the above amounts onto your chosen currency
Minimum stay is 3 days. Stays of two days are possible if there happens to be a gap of 2-3 nights between bookings. For long stays, it is best to ring me or drop me an email with specific requirements.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
I do not accept cheques.
If the booking is made within eight weeks of the letting the whole of the rental payment is payable either by Paypal or bank transfer before forwarding your booking form.
If the booking is made prior to eight weeks of the letting a rental deposit of 25% of the rental sum is to be paid either by Paypal or bank transfer and the booking form either posted or faxed. The remaining balance of the rental sum is then due eight weeks prior to the letting.
SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A €200.00 security deposit is also payable together with the rental sum during money transfer or Paypal and will be returned in the same way upon check of the property. It usually takes one day or two for me to retur your security deposit.
The customer accepts responsibility for deterioration risks via the security deposit.
You will be liable for any damages caused during the rental period and discovered during check-out (Eg: chocolate or wine stains on the white sofa). Minor accidents such as a broken glass or similar will of course not be taken into account, but I appreciate you reporting all incidents.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrival time is at 16.00 onwards. There might be times when you will be able to come in earlier and drop your luggage but that is not guaranteed. Please feel free to ask.
If I cannot be present at check-in and check-out myself, I will arrange for someone to meet you and hand you the keys. However, there will be times when I will have to send you the keys on the post if I am away or you arrive late in the evening.
Departure is at 11.00 at the latest. This is to allow time for the cleaning person to go in and leave the apartment ready for the next guest. This takes about two hours. Please let me know your arrival and departure time as soon as you can.
INSURANCE:
'My Paris Apartment' is under full legal home insurance, however this insurance policy is not a replacement for your own multi-risk insurance policy in case of accident, loss, robbery or other. To protect yourself, please take out a travel insurance policy while abroad or ask for social security international card in your health center if you are from the EU.
CLEANING:
The apartment will be thoroughly clean before you arrive. I will expect to find it reasonably tidy when you depart, otherwise the cleaning person will need to spend longer tidying up and cleaning and I will to deduct this from your deposit. The apartment is strictly non-smoking and no pets are allowed, sorry. Cleaning is done once a week but if you wish additional cleaning during the week, I can arrange that for you for an additional charge of €30.00.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If a cancellation is requested more than eight weeks in advance of the letting, I will return the balance of any monies paid, less the rental deposit (25%). If the cancellation is requested within the eight weeks prior to the letting I will retain the 25% rental deposit and also the balance of the rental (should it not be possible to re-let the property for this period).
If you cut short or cancel your stay once you have occupied the apartment, in the event of unanticipated interruption, no refund at all will be possible. OTHER CONDITIONS:
My apartment is only a 'sleeps 2' apartment. Unless I make a personal exception. This is because I focus on quality and aim for my guests to have a nice and comfortable stay. Three or more adults staying on a 30 sq m2 apartment is not suitable.
